The working language of the colloquium is English. All the participants are expected to contribute with original papers, not submitted for publication elsewhere (please use the TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS for the papers requirements). The topics proposed for scientific debate are presented in the section PANELS. The scientific committee selected the papers on the basis of the value of the long (extended) abstracts submitted. Only the selected papers will be presented.

All the papers presented at the colloquium will be included in the SISEC Discussion Papers series edited by The School of High Comparative European Studies – SISEC, in a special volume on migration and mobility (electronic dissemination, ISSN 1841–7523). Selected papers will be included in a study volume edited by the ‘Jean Monnet’ European Centre of Excellence, West University of Timisoara. The authors have ten weeks after the event to prepare their papers for publication (the deadline for sending the final form of papers is July 15^th, 2006).

The detailed programme of the colloquium was forwarded to everybody and is available for download from this website. There is no participation fee for this event. Two accommodation nights in a hotel / university campus (May 3 - 5) are offered to confirmed foreign participants and from outside of the region who reqested accommodation in the REGISTRATION FORM. For the participants who arrive early on May 3^rd, a walking (informal) guided tour of Timisoara will be organised. Please propose your desired social programmes for the evenings of May 3^rd and May 4^th!

The cost of the printed study volume will be communicated on this website.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES
20th of March 2006	The participation intention, including article title, author(s) name(s) and the so-called extended / long abstract (up to two-three pages summary) shall be transmitted by e-mail. The academic CV in the European form is required.
1st - 6th of April 2006	The accepted applicants are informed about their acceptance.
16th of April 2006	The participants should confirm by e-mail their availabity in attending the colloquium.
25th of April 2006	The confirmed speakers receive the final programme and the schedule of their presentation, as well as detailed information. Programme brochure and ABSTRACTS (PDF 769KB)
1st of May 2006	The participants announce the organisers about the time of their arrival and departure to/from Timisoara.
3rd of May 2006	Arrival of participants, accommodation, city tour, evening social event. The approved speakers bring the draft form of their papers, for presentation during the colloquium.
4th – 5th of May 2006	SISEC 2006 International Colloquium – Timisoara
15th of July 2006	Submission of the final form of the papers, for publication
